Biographie

Très active sur scène, la pianiste, compositrice et pédagogue, Chantale Morin se produit régulièrement en spectacle au Canada, aux États-Unis et en Europe avec différentes formations. Elle travaille avec Benoit Paradis Trio,  Blanche Baillargeon, elle est pianiste à la cinémathèque québécoise en plus de composer de la musique à l’image. Elle a récemment écrit la musique du film Paul de Denis Côté.

Sa discographie comprend neuf albums trois en tant que compositrice. Elle a fondé avec Nathaly Pasieczny la compagnie Muzimonde (2009) qui promouvoit l’apprentissage de la musique chez les enfants (Choeurs Crocmuzik et Crocjazz). Elle enseigne le piano jazz du Cégep Saint-Laurent.

Biography

Chantale Morin is a pianist, composer and music educator. She performed on different occasions across Canada, United States and Europe with different bands of varied styles. She plays with Benoit Paradis Trio, Snooksta and the gangstas, Blanche Baillargeon, Franck Sylvestre and she accompanies silent movies at la cinémathèque québécoise.

In 2009, with her long time music teaching colleague Nathaly Pazieczny, she has founded Muzimonde, a company that promotes the teachings of music for children.

Her studies has brought Chantale to complete a bachelor in jazz piano at Concordia University, she now teaches at Cégep Saint-Laurent.
